Information Center at Station Semmering

Leírás

The Semmering Railway is considered one of the greatest technical pioneering achievements of the 19th century - and has lost none of its fascination to this day. Built between 1848 and 1854 under the direction of Carl Ritter von Ghega, it crosses 41 kilometers of viaducts and tunnels. In 1998, the railroad was the first railroad line in the world to be inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
