Aussichtswarte Hutwisch
Leírás
A breathtaking view awaits visitors at the Hutwisch lookout point, which at 896 meters is the highest point in the Bucklige Welt. From here, the view sweeps far over the rolling hills of the region, the foothills of the Alps with the Wechsel and Schneeberg mountains - and on a clear day even as far as Hungary and Slovenia.
Numerous marked hiking trails invite you to enjoy a variety of tours. Worth seeing are the historic fortified church of Hochneukirchen, the Dreiländerstein on the border of Lower Austria, Burgenland and Styria.
Starting from the Gasthaus s'Hutwisch and the Info & Genuss petrol station, a family-friendly circular hiking trail leads up to the Hutwisch - affectionately known as the "roof of the world". Along the way, colorful birdhouses guide hikers via the "witch's house" to the Hutwischwarte. The interactive "BAKABU" app turns the trail into a special experience for children: exciting audio stories about the world around the Hutwisch are told at several stations.
Once at the top, a 360° panoramic view over five countries rewards the effort of the climb.
