Welcome to Pension Frans-Jozef, located at an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level, Mönichkirchen is only 90 km from Vienna and 90 km from the city of Graz. It is an excellent place for tourists who want to relax away from the urban hustle and bustle and enjoy the beauty of the alpine landscape.
In the guest house there are cozy rooms with bathroom, satellite TV and free Wi-Fi, some also with a balcony. For larger families we offer an apartment (FEWO) with a kitchenette and a room where you can spend your free time playing board games or chatting in a friendly atmosphere.
The guest house is located about 400 meters from the ski lifts of the Erlebnisalm Mönichkirchen.
In summer there are wonderful hiking trails up to Hochwechsel 1743 m. A special attraction is the roller coaster, where you roll down into the valley on a 2,500 m long natural track. For your health the Salaerium. The brine dripping down over brushwood enriches the air with fine salt particles. The effect is preventative and curative for chronic bronchitis and sinusitis. Mönichkirchen is home to the Hamari climbing park, the largest climbing park in the Vienna Alps, with 15 different climbing courses. Mountain bikers have 4 routes starting directly from Mönichkirchen to prove their fitness.
In winter, the Erlebnisalm Mönichkirchen offers optimal technical conditions and is also a pleasure for snowboarders. A cross-country ski trail lies at an altitude of 1,300-1,400 meters from the Hallerhaus to the Marienseer Schwaig.
