Leírás
From the heart of the spa town Bad Tatzmannsdorf, the route goes via Sulzriegel to Neustift and Bergwerk. Continuing via Grodnau, we finally reach the northerly located Bernstein, whose mighty castle has been visible intermittently since Sulzriegel. Although we walk through the villages on paved streets, outside the villages the route mainly runs on gravel paths until shortly before the beginning of Bernstein. Here we meet the main path of the alpannonia long-distance hiking network. It is also worth exploring the village with its noble serpentine processing companies, the Rock Museum, and the Madonnenschlössel in more detail.

Utak leírása alpannonia - regional route Bad Tatzmannsdorf - Bernstein
Starting from the grandstand of the main square in Bad Tatzmannsdorf (to the left of this grandstand there is a large alpannonia information board), we march up along the road to Sulzriegel. Once at the top, we have already passed the steepest part of the path and walk straight through the village. A few meters after the end of the village, we turn right at the memorial stone and follow the forest road through the Kerschgraben forest to Neustift bei Schlaining. On the main road of the peaceful village, we turn right again, then shortly after the firefighting pond turn left onto the street to Bergwerk. But only for a few meters, because at the inn, we take the path left, past a large agricultural business, to a small forest. We enter the forest, turn right downhill and, after a few meters, cross a meadow until we meet a crossing path. We briefly follow this path to the left, then after a few meters turn right and cross another meadow downhill. At a forest intersection, we keep right and come across an asphalt road, which we follow left to the bridge over the Tauchenbach (on the left we see the ruins of an old mill). Immediately after the bridge, we turn right into the fields and climb a small hill until we reach the first houses of Grodnau. We cross the main road of the village and follow the path to the inn. Past the inn, the path mostly leads us on gravel roads straight ahead until shortly before Bernstein. Along the way, we have wonderful views of the surroundings, and Bernstein Castle is already within reach. An idyllic spot with beehives and seating in the sun invites you to linger before we turn right shortly afterwards into the Kalkgraben. Passing a deer enclosure, we follow the path deeper into the ravine and reach a bridge leading to the main path of the alpannonia long-distance hiking network, which leads right over the Hirschenstein to Kőszeg or left directly into the village of Bernstein.
